“Indomptable, rebelle”, Peter Watkins méritait bien l’hommage des Ecrans britanniques & irlandais à l’occasion du 29ème festival du 13 au 22 mars.Décédé en octobre dernier, il laisse une oeuvre singulière et décapante. Trois de ses films vous seront proposés :- The Forgotten Faces, un court métrage de 1961, suivi de Culloden de 1967 (le 19 mars) ;– The Gladiators (Les Gladiateurs), réalisé en Suède en 1968 (le 20 mars).

‘Indomitable, rebellious’ – Peter Watkins is the subject of a posthumous tribute during the 29th British & Irish Screens Film Festival (13 to 22 March).He was a guest of honour during the 2008 British Screens festival, and passed away in October 2025, leaving a unique and provocative body of work. Three of his films will be screened during the Festival:- The Forgotten Faces (1961), a short film, followed by Culloden (1967), (19 March);- The Gladiators, made in Sweden in 1968 (20 March).
