Hommage, invité d’honneur, ciné concert et inédit au menu de cette sixième journée de festival.
L’hommage à Charles Crichton continue. L’auteur de A Fish Called Wanda (Un poisson nommé Wanda) avait réalisé en 1954 The Divided Heart (Les hommes ne comprendront jamais) qui avait valu à Yvonne Mitchell et Cornell Borchers un prix d’interprétation aux British Academy Film Awards. A 10h à Carré d’Art en présence de l’historien du 7ème Art Quentin Falk.
Présent depuis le week-end dernier, Jim Sheridan vous attend à nouveau pour la projection de In the Name of the Father (Au nom du père), inspiré du procès de quatre ressortissants d’Irlande du Nord, injustement accusés d’un attentat, avec Daniel Day-Lewis et Pete Postlethwhaite. A 14h30 à Carré d’Art.
Autre moment fort du festival : le ciné concert avec trois adaptations muettes de Conan Doyle ou quand Sherlock Holmes est mis en musique par Virgile Goller. A18h au Sémaphore.
Enfin, un inédit pour conclure : Dragonfly de Paul Andrew Williams, Hitchcock d’or à Dinard en 2025, qui sera là pour nous présenter son film. A 20h au Sémaphore.

Yet more tributes, guests of honour, premieres and a cine-concert are on the menu for this sixth day of the festival.
The tribute to Charles Crichton continues. The director of A Fish Called Wanda directed The Divided Heart in 1954, which earned Yvonne Mitchell and Cornell Borchers BAFTA acting awards. Join us at 10.00am at the Carré d’Art, in the presence of film historian Quentin Falk, who’ll be talking about the film.
Our guest of honor, Jim Sheridan, who has been here since last weekend, looks forward to seeing you once again for the screening of In the Name of the Father, inspired by the trial of four Northern Irish citizens unjustly accused of an attack. The film stars Daniel Day-Lewis and Pete Postlethwhaite, and will be screened at 2.30pm at the Carré d’Art.
Tonight sees the much-loved festival tradition, the cine-concert, with live music accompanying short silent films from the 1920s. Tonight features three silent adaptations of Conan Doyle, with Sherlock Holmes set to music by Virgile Goller, at 6.00pm at the Sémaphore.
Finally, a premiere to conclude the evening : Dragonfly (2025) directed and written by Paul Andrew Williams, winner of the Hitchcock d’Or at the Dinard film festival in 2025. The film will be screened at 8.00pm at the Sémaphore, and Mr Willams will be with us to present his film.
